Chess Shorts Publisher

Chess Shorts Publisher is a personal, self-hosted tool that publishes original chess puzzle videos to the creator's own TikTok account, once a day.

How it works

1. Render. Every night, the creator's own software renders a vertical video showing three chess puzzles of increasing difficulty. Pieces, board and audio are all drawn and synthesized by the software itself; the puzzles come from the open Lichess puzzle database (CC0).
2. Caption. A caption is written for the video by a language model running on the creator's own hardware.
3. Connect. The creator connects their TikTok account once, with TikTok Login Kit, and grants permission to post videos.
4. Publish. Once a day, the video is posted to the creator's account with TikTok's Content Posting API, using the privacy level allowed by TikTok for the account.

Who can use it

This tool is used by a single creator to publish to their own account. It does not offer accounts, does not collect data from other TikTok users, and does not read, like, comment on or follow other accounts.
